Idris Elba, Adam Peaty and more unite for mental health

A new exhibition in Piccadilly Circus encourages people to 'take a moment' for their mental health.
We’re loving these portraits from a new exhibition raising awareness for mental health – one in which the photos are displayed on the screens at Piccadilly Circus as well as in a gallery underneath.
It’s called ‘Art of London Presents Take A Moment 2022’ and is curated by artist and photographer Ray Burmiston. The idea behind the closed eyes of the famous people in the portraits is about showing the need to take a moment for your own mental health. And quite brilliantly, the public are being encouraged to take a selfie of themselves with closed eyes for a chance to be put on the big screens at Piccadilly Circus too. You can put them on IG tagging @PicadillyLights with #TakeAMoment2022.
Ray Burmiston said “Over the years I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented people who have not only allowed me to capture their ‘moment’ but also to share it part of this exhibition. It fills me with immense pride, that the idea of everyone taking a moment together, has become a reality on Piccadilly Lights, the biggest stage London has to offer.”
