Paul Olima joins Festival of New Masculinity
Masculinity
The athlete, fitness guru and dad will be appearing at our Self-Care Sunday about Fatherhood on 10th March.
Many men settle in to fatherhood by immediately gaining not just a child but a pie belly too. Paul Olima is not one of these men. And we are pleased to announce that the the Irish trainer, model and sometime body double for Usain Bolt, is joining us for our Self-Care Sunday on 10th March at The Book Club. It’s a fatherhood special in which we’ll be discussing the changing world of dads today, how we’re battling the stereotypes and seeking showing our caring sides, and dealing with a lot of literal crap. Paul is of course doing wonderful things with his genius videos about life as a dad…
Paul will be on a panel with the hilariously honest insta-dad Papa Pukka AKA Matt Farquharson and James Millar, the author of the ground-breaking book, ‘Dads Don’t Babysit: Towards Equal Parenting’.
You can buy tickets to the event by going through to our Eventbrite page.
Our partners for the event are our friends at SEBMAN who are doing great things is changing the depictions of men today. Freedom Brewery will be laying on some ethical beer for everyone, and ticket proceeds will be going to male suicide prevention charity CALM.
The event is part of our Festival of New Masculinity which aims to talk about the issues facing men today and celebrate new thinking around masculinity.
