TOMS Exclusive video: Hairdresser to the Homeless
Style
Watch the inspirational new video from ethical sneaker brand TOMS, featuring the incredible Joshua Coombes.
One of our favourite brands, TOMS, who’s One for One scheme puts shoes on the feet of children who need it around the world for every pair sold, are launching three new autumn sneakers and have brought in a typically inspirational figure to front their campaign.
Joshua Coombes is the founder of the movement #DoSomethingForNothing as part of which he offers haircuts to homeless people on the streets. As you’ll see in the video below – an exclusive to The Book of Man – Joshua will walk around a city, offer haircuts to the homeless and, in that lovely way hairdressers can do, listen to the stories and provide some reassurance.
In the video Joshua is wearing one of The Paxton range, which is a slip-on, versatile sneaker which looks the business. The other style in the new collection, the Balboa, also has that typical TOMS street-cool to them.
It’s a great range, and of course, with their One for One scheme, every pair sold means a child in need will also be given a pair of shoes. Remarkable really.
