CALM’s Style Launch for World Mental Health Day

Style

CALM and Topman have teamed up for a special capsule collection encouraging young people to #LetWhatsInsideOut.

Our friends at the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) have teamed up with Topshop and Topman on World Mental Health Day (10th Sept) for a capsule collection called Care Sewn In.

This special set of t-shirts, hoodies and sweats will be appearing at selected stories and online, and they all feature slogans and exterior labels which feature self-care messaging and information about CALM’s helpline in a riff on their hashtag #LetWhatsInsideOut. Of course, it’s all about encouraging young people to open up about their problems.

The collection is fronted by model and body positivity supporter Emily Bador and model, artist and mental health advocate Reece King. It continues the relationship between CALM and Topman which has previously including nationwide campaigns, zines and events, all aimed at changing behaviours and stigmas around mental health. £5 from every item goes to CALM.

Jason Griffiths, Brand Communications Director at Topshop Topman commented, “We chose to launch the first phase of our Care Sewn In initiative to coincide with World Mental Health Day as well as at a time when ‘back to college’ is a focus for students and young people. We know that this is a time where many are faced with the pressures of starting or returning to education. By partnering with CALM we hope to empower young individuals to self-care, change the conversation around mental health and encourage peer-to-peer support so that no one suffers alone.”

Simon Gunning, the CEO of CALM, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Topshop into our amazing ongoing relationship with Topman. By partnering with both of these iconic brands for the Care Sewn In campaign we hope to raise awareness and provide solutions to even more young people.”
